For that reason, the objective of this article is to explain what factors affect the perception of satisfaction with the functioning of democracy in that region. To verify this, a binary logistic regression model was applied to eight variables grouped into three dimensions: economic, political performance and corruption perception; The database used was the Latinobarometer. The results show that economic factors such as politicians generate a greater probability of being dissatisfied with the functioning of democracy, despite this, people continue to consider democracy as the best form of government.
