Abstract

The paper analyzes the ways in which political parties –and also the state– have sought to call up young
people in Argentina as political subjects during the current democratic period, which began in 1983.
Regarding these issue, the article seeks to address the construction of youth as public policy issues at the
legislative level, as well as in the framework of political parties. Legislative proposals regarding on the
rights of youths between 1983 and 2015 are analyzed, focusing on their epochal marks, the characteristics
of these proposals with parliamentary state and also the Youths Promotion Act that is pending of
approval in National Senate since the end of 2015, and their links with the construction of youth within
political parties.
